| Benefits of Joing 1 World Flight Club |
1WFC is growing its membership. To join, a new student member must contribute a $750.00 share to the club. Members can begin flight training before completing the full bond. This bond may be paid all at once or in three installments, however, full privileges will only be granted upon delivery of the full amount. The installments of $250 are paid: a) first, following first solo, b) second, following first solo navigation, and c) third at the completion of the check ride. Payment of the bond entitles the member to certain benefits: a) the member becomes a co-owner of the club's assets, which are its owned aircraft, and consequently the member is entitled a vote in club administrative meetings, b) as an owner of a club airplane, the member can not be charged 5% use tax on his or her rental of such aircraft, and c) the member receives an ID badge and a key to access the club's office and to access Hangar 80. New prospective members can receive at cost club rates before completing the bond as soon as they begin providing monthly dues. Monthly dues are owed from all members on the first of each month. The dues are used to pay for the club's fixed costs and are revised quarterly, depending on membership level and costs, as are the rental reimbursement rates for the aircraft. Monthly dues can be paid by electronic funds transfer. The 1World Flight Club is still building its membership. Meetings are held alternatively as Fly outs and as Administrative Meetings. Meetings or Flyouts, as appropriate, are held every third Saturday of the month at Noon at the club office space in Hangar 80 at KFME. This space is cooperatively held with 1World Aero, which is a Tipton flight school, and the John W Greene Chapter of the Black Pilots of America. |
