Mulitengine Training

Members and clients can obtain all of their multi-engine ratings at 1World Aero and Flight Club and may use the aircraft for private rental and travel.  The multi-engine ratings include the Multi-Engine Private, The Multi Engine Commercial with Instrument, and the Multi-Engine Instructor.     A multi-private rating generally takes about 10 flight hours.  A  multi-instrument commercial takes close to 15 hours, assuming the candidate is instrument proficient.   New pilots must meet 1World Aero insurance requirements to be able to rent the aircraft alone.

While many recreational pilots may wish to limit their flying to day time, and to schedule their flying around good weather, a twin engine rating is recommended to pilots who intend to do a lot of personal traveling during both day and night, and in instrument conditions.  This is not only because of the existence of the second engine, but also because of the addition of a second alternator and vacuum pump.   In addition to their improved safety and redundancy, twin engine aircraft generally carry higher useful loads, fly at higher speeds, and have greater climb capability.
